Replacement Edge Screens and Hook Screens for Rectangular Separators

Replacement Edge Screens and Hook Screens for Rectangular Separators

In addition to our round sifters screen, we also offer high quality edge and hook style screens for rectangular separators and screeners. The rectangular edge screens can be bonded edge, high temperature, polyester edge, vinyl edge and metal edge. These rectangular edge screens are replacement screens for rectangular screeners as Derrick® screeners, Pfening® Sifters, Great Western® sifters and Rotex® screeners. The hook style replacement screens can be fabricated in all alloys, including stainless steel, mild steel, copper, etc. The hook style replacement screens can also be single mesh layer, double mesh layer and triple mesh layer for extended durability. These hooked styles replacement screens are fabricated to fit Derrick® screener, Tyler®, Midwestern® separators and BM&M® sifters. Rotex® replacement screens are also available in different sizes and materials.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Edge screens attach along a bonded or wrapped border, in styles like polyester, vinyl, or metal edge, fitting Derrick®, Pfening®, Great Western®, and Rotex® screeners. Hook screens instead clip in with a hook-and-strip attachment, fabricated to fit Derrick®, Tyler®, Midwestern®, and BM&M® separators.

High-temperature edge screens hold up under heat that would break down a standard bonded or vinyl edge, making them the right call for hot process materials. Vinyl edge is often preferred instead where wash-down and sanitation matter more than heat resistance.

Multiple mesh layers add durability for high-abrasion or high-volume runs, where a single mesh layer would wear through faster than the production schedule allows. Double and triple layers remain the better choice when cost matters less than extended wear life.

We fabricate edge and hook screen replacements for Derrick®, Pfening®, Great Western®, Rotex®, Tyler®, Midwestern®, and BM&M® rectangular separators, plus custom builds for brands not listed. Contact us with your model and screen dimensions.

Hook screens can be fabricated in stainless steel, mild steel, copper, or other alloys depending on your process material. Stainless steel suits corrosion resistance or sanitary standards, while mild steel works for less demanding dry applications.

Rotex® replacement screens come in multiple sizes and materials, since Rotex® rectangular screeners span several frame dimensions across their product line. Provide your machine’s model number and current screen dimensions when ordering to avoid a mismatch.

VRU and VRR are Rotex® model designations for rectangular screeners, and we fabricate replacement edge and hook screens sized to fit both series. Confirm your machine’s exact frame size before ordering, since dimensions can vary between production years.

Check how the current screen attaches to the frame: a continuous bonded or wrapped border means you need an edge screen, while a clip-in strip attachment means you need a hook screen. See our circular sifter screens if your line also runs round separators.
